Book Review: Tempting Fate by Kylie Hillman

Tempting Fate (Black Shamrocks MC #4)
by Kylie Killman

Revenge or the love of his life?
Her soul mate versus her family?
Whatever they chose, someone loses.

Mik and Maddi. Mad Dog and his Angel. Mikhail Kennedy and Madelaine O'Brien. One without the other just doesn't seem right. They're made for each other; soul mates who've survived every obstacle thrown in their way.

It should be smooth sailing from now on. Mik taking his rightful place as the President of the Black Shamrocks MC with his woman by his side. Maddi free from the demons that plague her, finally back in the tender embrace of the love of her life.

Revenge. That dish best served cold. The need for it is eating Mik up inside. Filling him with hatred and blinding him to Maddi's struggle. He wants to avenge every wrong done to them while she wishes to forgive and forget.

A life filled with love and happiness ought to be their destiny. A future filled with pain and regret appears to be the actual outcome. With the love they've fought so hard to protect at stake, can they let go of the past and stop TEMPTING FATE?

My Review:

What is the meaning of cliffhangers? Do they exist for the sole purpose of leaving the reader into a pool of endless need? The need to know what happens next, or the need to know if the characters will come out on the other side? I can never decide on the main reason authors leave us with cliffhangers! But I do know that it leaves me biting my nails and sitting on the edge of my seat to refrain from pulling my head out.

Tempting Fate goes back to the original characters from the first book, Maddi and Mik are on another adventure to fight the past that is threatening to take over them. With Mik out of jail, he has to learn how to hold off on revenge if he wants Maddi to stay with him.

I loved this book because I got to read about these characters again, and so far, they are my favorites out of the whole series. If I could I would grab Maddi and Mik to cuddle with them on the couch, watching Netflix, and sipping on some hot chocolate. That couple has been through hell and back.

Kylie Hillman knows how to write a story that will sink into your skin, a tale so captivating you will be stuck with a book hangover from hell.
