Grace has mastered the cliffhanger – which typically changes the air around me
into various tints of blue – sigh, but she has managed to hook me twice now,
and I can accept it from her somehow.
While reading her latest offering of Carolina
King, I found myself conflicted as I was definitely team Drew in book 1 Carolina Hurricane, and here I am
getting all feely about his nemesis Mack King.
I was going soft for Mack and Jonna then I realized – what I am doing,
he’s a street punk and a player?!? But
this is one of those lessons that people and things are not what they seem -
which is a trope I greatly admire as it causes people to rethink their
perceptions, which, hopefully, will carry over into their real life
attitudes. Ms. Grace’s writing is again
entertaining, easy to follow, thoughtful, and deliciously sensual. And also hopelessly addictive. With that ending, I have to know what happens
next… mumble… blue air…
