Malcolm's had a problem for as long as he can remember. No matter where he goes or what he does, he leaves misery in his wake. Sadness and negativity are his constant companions, influencing others around him until they cannot bear to live.

But then Rae shows up in his life, and everything changes. Darkness cleaves to light. Anger yields to joy. The question is whether she'll be his salvation or his destruction.

Book Review:

I give this book 4 out of 5 stars! We have characters who you will instantly fall in love with, and who should be falling in love with one another but their too damn stubborn. Let's not forget about our antagonists that just happen to be taking much interest in the new girl.

Favorite Quote:
"Superstars live in the limelight, and I have to stay in the shadows."

Characters:
Malcolm: One of our main characters of the story. Think of him as an unwilling messenger from the dark side. He doesn't want to get to close to anyone because they get to close. Yet, he soon finds himself needing to get close to Rae.

Rae: Another important main character. You can think of her as a cherub of happiness. She also doesn't like to get to close to people, because once they do they find it impossible for them to stay away.

Jasmine: She is what you would call a neutral, and becomes an important friend to both Malcolm and Rae.

Kootch: This guy is all over the place, but in truth he is an amazing friend to both main characters. He has a background that thrives off misery but upon meeting Rae things change for him.

Things I didn't like about the book:
One thing that I found that displeased me about the book was that sometimes I would get confused about what I was reading. The wording sometimes would throw me off, and I would have to go back several times to re-read the lines trying to make sense of what I read.

All In All:
All in all this book was very pleasing. It was easy for me to fall in love with the characters and their stories, feel their emotions as they experienced it, and root for them as they faced challenges. Though the sentence structures sometimes threw me off, i was able to get back on track and continue through. So if you are interested, please don't be afraid to go and purchase. Elle Casey would really appreciate it and I am sure you will fall in love with her writing.
